How to use PDF to PowerPoint
- Choose the PDF you want as slides.
- Press Convert. Each page is rendered at full resolution.
- Download the .pptx, one slide per page.
Questions
- Can I edit the text on the slides?
- No, and this is the honest limitation. Each slide holds a picture of the page, so it looks exactly right but nothing on it is editable. If you need editable text, convert to Word instead and rebuild the slides from that.
- Why a picture rather than real text boxes?
- A PDF stores glyphs at coordinates, not text boxes. Guessing at boxes produces slides that look broken; an image always looks like the original.
- Will the slides be editable?
- Text and images become slide objects you can move and retype. A slide originally built from a complex layout arrives as something close to it rather than identical.
- Is one PDF page one slide?
- Yes, in order. A PDF made from slides converts back cleanly; a PDF of a text document becomes one slide per page, which is rarely what anyone wants.
