How to compare pdf

  1. Choose the two versions you want compared.
  2. Press Compare. Differences are found at word level, not line level.
  3. Read the summary and step through every change.

Questions

Why word level rather than line level?
A line-level diff marks an entire paragraph as changed when one word moved. Word level shows you the word, which is usually the thing you were actually looking for.
Can it compare scans?
Only if both have a text layer. Run OCR PDF over each first, and bear in mind OCR errors will show up as differences.
